Pages 24-30; Learning to Read and Write by Fredrick Douglass

Pages 31-40; Knowledge to Its Own End by Newman

Pages 46-52; Shakespeare's Sister by Woolf

Step 2: Select one of the essays whose thesis you adamantly agree with for your first essay.

Step 3: Reread that essay and find at least 5 points that make you agree with this writer.

Step 4: Write an argumentative essay, persuading readers to also agree with this author's thesis/ claim.
